Rules of the Fishery
- Fly-fishing only. No maggots, worms, spinners etc. to be taken on to the water.
- All members must have a current fishing licence.
- Do not leave litter, particularly leader line and polythene scrap.
- All members should give every assistance in their power to prevent illegal fishing.
- Any diseased or distressed fish to be reported.
- Members enter the fishery entirely at their own risk. No responsibility can be accepted or claims entertained for personal accident, inconvenience or damage to car or equipment.
The water is deep and wading is strictly forbidden.
- Members are allowed to take up to two trout per day with a MAXIMUM of four trout in any one week. The week commences on Monday. All other fish must be carefully returned to the water unharmed. Catch and release on barbless hooks wherever possible. There is a voluntary limit of ten fish to be caught in any one session.
- All Browns, Blues and Tigers are stocked on a catch and release basis only. Please be careful when handling them. All Browns, Blues and Tigers to be entered in the returns book.
- All members must sign in before fishing and complete their returns entry after fishing (including nil returns). This is essential in the interest of the stocking programmes.
